Last night it was Sheep Club's last meeting of the year, held at the Cricklade Club.
The meeting focused on liver fluke and covered everything from the life cycle of the parasite to control.
For various reasons liver fluke is on the rise in the UK, so it is important to understand the parasite and how to manage the problem.
The attendees worked in groups to assess fluke risk on theoretical farms and learnt how good grazing and treatment strategies can help to reduce risk and flukecide resistance.
By the end of the meeting all the sheep club members were experts in subject and left full of enthusiasm to control fluke in their flocks.
