Last week we had Sheep Club's first meeting of the year, kindly hosted at Roves Farm.
Emily talked to our sheep club about ‘Iceberg Diseases', specifically focusing on MV, OPA and Johne's.
Those that attended learnt all about the diseases, including the testing and control measures available to reduce productivity losses within flocks.
It is important to be aware of these chronic infectious diseases as they can have a massive impact on welfare and productivity.
Everyone found the meeting extremely interesting and hopefully will take away the information they learnt and implement it in their own flocks.
If you have any questions on sheep club and how it could benefit you, please call the farm office.
