The Calving Cow and Neonatal Calf Disease

Last week Drove Beef Club met for a talk on the Calving Cow and Neonatal Calf Disease.

They spent time looking at how best to reduce calving problems and when to intervene.

The club then worked through scenarios in groups to help come up with their own diagnoses for different neonatal calf diseases. They discussed treatments and prevention against disease.

They then had the opportunity to go outside and use the smoke machine to test ventilation in the weaned calf shed.

Overall it was a great meeting, with great input from all members.
