Foot Trimming

Two Day foot trimming Course Thursday 30^th June & Friday 1^st July

Both days of the course will start at 9am at the above address, on the second day we will be travelling to a nearby farm for some live animal trimming and AHDB dairy mobility scoring.

The course will have theory sessions but the priority is the practical side, getting outside and putting the theory into action. For that purpose, we have some feet from the abattoir to trim on day one, and live animals on day two.

After the course the attendee will understand the anatomy of the bovine foot and how it relates to its day to day function. Using the knowledge, they will be able to apply the principles of the 5 stage dutch foot trimming method. As well as being able to accurately classify the degrees of lameness using the AHDB mobility scoring technique.
